خواننده و شاعر سحرانگیز و معروف اسطوره های یونانی، وقتی همسر و عشقش « اویری دیک»
فوت می کند، به سراغ خدای مرگ و زیر زمین یعنی هادس و همسرش پرسیفونیس می رود و تقاضا
می کند که بخاطر درد عشق و هجرانش زنش را از
جهان مردگان به او بازگردانند و زنده کنند. آن دو با خواستش موافقت می کنند، به یک
شرط که تا وقتی که آن دو جهان مردگان و تاریکی را کامل ترک نکرده اند و به نور روز و روشنایی و زمین نرسیده اند، اورفه
حق ندارد به پشت سرش و به« اویری دیک» نگاه
بکند که به دنبال او می اید. اما دقیقا اورفه ناتوان از این کار می شود و برمی گردد
و به همسرش می نگرد، می خواهد او را ببیند و با اینکار همسرش را دوباره و برای همیشه
از دست می دهد. آیا ناخودآگاه می خواهد او
را از دست بدهد و به این خاطر برمی گردد؟ آیا بایستی او را از دست بدهد؟ راز روانشناختی این اسطوره و این « ازدست دادن» چیست؟
